This week at the Madang Resort we are hosts of the 6th Ministerial Forum Fisheries Committee Meeting which is major international meeting including more than 15 Ministers of Fisheries from Pacific Countries including Australia and New Zealand. The theme of their meeting is the "Future of Fisheries" in the Pacific Region.
On Jul 1 Qantas Link began operating 12 services a week between Cairns and Port Moresby utilosing the new Dash 8 75 passenger turbo-prop aircraft, this together with Air Niugini's 14 services in Fokker 100 jets, plus Airlines of PNG Dash 8 services provide more than 40 flights each week as a result there are some very competitive airfares available.
